Why does my fresh battery drop in power significantly when my CoDrone EDU takes flight?

Our drones report battery percentage based on voltage, not total capacity like a phone. When the drone lifts off, it suddenly demands a lot of power from the battery. This causes a temporary voltage drop, which makes the battery percentage appear to decrease significantly.

This is normal behavior. If you land the drone and let it sit idle, the voltage will stabilize and the battery percentage will rise again. As long as the battery level recovers when the drone is not under load, there’s no issue with the battery.

It’s important to note that the takeoff and flip commands are the only ones that consume the most power.
