Is My CoDrone EDU Affected by Wi-Fi?

The CoDrone EDU uses radio frequency to pair the controller and drones together. The frequency is 2.4 GHz.
Why is that?
The CoDrone EDU uses a dedicated, low-power radio communication system designed specifically for direct device-to-device control, rather than high-bandwidth networking like Wi-Fi. While both systems share the 2.4 GHz ISM band, they are engineered to coexist without interfering with one another.
In practice, this means your drone will not disrupt nearby Wi-Fi networks, and Wi-Fi signals will not significantly impact your drone’s performance. Even in busy environments such as classrooms with many connected devices, the system is designed to operate reliably.
Interference is rare but can occur in extreme situations, such as in highly congested radio environments with hundreds of active devices, in the presence of strong continuous signal emitters, or when devices are operating in very close physical proximity.
