How do I prevent my CoDrone EDU (JROTC ed.) from rising up after takeoff?
🚨Important announcement
We’ve identified a behavior with CoDrone EDU (JROTC ed.) that can cause the drone to continue rising uncontrollably if you apply throttle quickly right after takeoff. Please note that emergency stop is still accessible, but throttling down will not work once the drone has been destabilized. This does not affect the standard edition of CoDrone EDU.
How to avoid destabilizing the drone after takeoff
After every takeoff or quick takeoff (Joystick method), wait approximately 4 seconds before applying any throttle input. You may still apply roll, pitch, or yaw input immediately after takeoff, but avoid trying to move up or down. This allows the drone’s control logic to fully stabilize after takeoff and ensures normal flight behavior.

Please do not hesitate to email support@robolink.com with any questions or concerns. If you ever need to emergency stop the drone for whatever reason, always remember to catch it or provide a soft landing whenever possible.
