An Important Update for CoDrone EDU (JROTC edition) Users ONLY

At Robolink, we take pride in sparking joy for students and launching real-world skills from the very first flight. That means not only designing reliable, future-ready drones, but also showing up for our community when something doesn’t go as expected.
What Happened
Thanks to feedback from our educator community, we identified an issue with the CoDrone EDU (JROTC edition). While this doesn’t impact core flight or classroom use, it is an issue that comes up in scenarios when students execute a quick throttle input or maneuver immediately after takeoff, whether through a manual quick takeoff or the standard L1 takeoff. In these cases, drones may shoot upward until an emergency stop is executed. This is not up to our standards and certainly not up to yours.
How We’re Making It Right
We’ve designed a replacement part for the bottom drone body, and are providing it to all affected users at no cost. To learn how to perform this replacement please follow this video link below:
This issue applies only to the JROTC edition of the CoDrone EDU. In addition to addressing the issue with shooting upward, this replacement part also improves color sensor performance. If you’re unsure whether this affects your drones, check the model name on your original purchase or packaging, or reach out directly using the contact info below.
If you have one or more JROTC edition drones and you believe your drones have been impacted by this issue, please email support@robolink.com to request your complimentary replacement parts. Complimentary replacement parts apply even if the 12-month warranty provided by Robolink has expired.
We appreciate your partnership, and we’re here to support you at every turn.
