What data is collected by your website?

Updated by Robolink Support

Data privacy is important to us, so our lesson portal, which is called Basecamp, is COPPA and FERPA approved. Our lesson portal does not require a login to access content. Account creation is optional. We only collect anonymized usage data that is helpful for improving our product, not for advertising. For example: which lessons are visited most, which lessons are completed the most, which coding blocks are used most frequently, which errors are occurring. We are not collecting data for advertising purposes on our lesson portal.

For information collected directly from user input, we adhere to collecting the minimum amount of information needed for creating an account. Only a username and password are required for all users. Only users 13 and older are asked to provide an email for verification.

Importantly, students under 13 are required to have a teacher or parent create their account. Teachers and parents are prompted to avoid using personally identifiable usernames, such as using full names or birth dates.

Visit the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for Basecamp for full details about our lesson portal.

Our business site, which is our online store, is geared towards adults and purchasers. This site does have advertising. However, we do not link to the business site from the lesson portal. Students are never asked to go to the business site.

Visit the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for our online store for full details.
