Is CoDrone Mini FAA compliant under Part 107?

There are many rules, regulations, and restrictions surrounding drone operation. We understand it can be a bit confusing! This article summarizes the rules and regulations surrounding drone operation in the United States. If you are not operating in the United States, please refer to your country's drone regulations.
According to FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) guidelines, all drones under 55 pounds must be registered under either Part 107 of FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations OR the Exception for Recreational Flyers. However, drones under 0.55 pounds (250 grams) are exempt from registration, given that flying is for recreational purposes only. This means education, too! CoDrone EDU falls under this category, therefore no registration, pilot license, or Part 107 compliance is needed.
All drones must be registered, except those that weigh 0.55 pounds or less (less than 250 grams) and are flown exclusively under the Exception for Recreational Flyers (FAA website).
Finally, CoDrone EDU is specifically designed for indoor use and is not recommended for outdoor flying. If you choose to fly outdoors for recreational or educational use, you are still required to follow FAA rules for recreational flight in a controlled airspace even though CoDrone EDU is exempt from registration.
